Manufacturing Quality Engineer
Location: Italy (Teverola)
Our client is a cell manufacturing company specializing in the production/recycling of lead-acid & lithium batteries for traction, industrial, storage and military applications. They bring to market a product able to guarantee superior performance by adapting to every customers needs, remaining at the forefront within the European Energetic Transition since 1974. Their aim is to refine electric vehicle solutions, lithium-ion/fuel cell manufacturing, and enhancing the circular economy.
Position Summary: We are looking for a Manufacturing Quality Engineer for our clients Quality team who is shop-floor oriented and with quality tools knowledge and practice, who want to work with our client in Italy. We need a dynamic, passionate, purpose-drive professional who wants to help us in the deployment of one of the most important projects in Europe for the lithium battery value chain.
Responsibilities:
-Lead quality assurance activities in Process development and Production.
-Perform training on Quality core tools (e.g. FMEA Control plan, SPC QRQC) and standards.
-Moderate and contribute to FMEA reviews.
-Audit and ensure compliance to quality standards, norms and best practices.
-Lead analysis and problem-solving activities (e.g. 8D, Six Sigma).
-Define and deploy Control plans, procedures and work instructions.
-Monitor quality KPIs (e.g. Customer complaints, Yield, Scrap cost) and lead action plan to meet targets.
-Lead quality improvement plan and ensure continuous improvement in production.
-Ensure quality deliverables during process development, industrialization, launch and production.
Qualifications:
-Degree in Mechanical, Industrial or Chemical engineering.
-At least 3/6 years of experience in quality in a mass manufacturing industry, ideally in battery cell manufacturing.
-Experience in a battery company.
-Experience in a Quality tools (SPC, FMEA, 8D, Six sigma, QRQC) and Quality management system (ISO 9001) is a MUST.
-Fluency in Italian (oral and written) is a PLUS.
-Fluency in English (oral and written) is a MUST.
