A Manual or CNC Miller Turner is urgently requested to work in a busy organisation based in Totnes. The right candidate must have experience in producing precision components from engineering drawings, with manual or CNC machines, such as Colchester, XYZ Proturn or XYZ ProtoTRAK.
The company have a demand increasing and they need more Setters and Operators joining the team ASAP.
This is a Permanent full time role to work 39 hours per week with good rates of pay plus overtime available at 1.5 x hourly rate.
Work hours: 7-3:45pm Monday to Thursday, 7-1pm Friday

Summary of Responsibilities
- Setting and Operating machines to produce parts to specifications, ensuring parts are produced efficiently and on time, including prototypes and one-off products.
- Conducting inspections (dimensional and surface finish checks), taking corrective actions to address issues (technical, quality, or time-related), and managing the tracking and documentation of works orders.
- Ensuring materials and relevant paperwork are maintained
- Upholding cleanliness and machine maintenance
- Following manufacturing procedures with a focus on improvement.
- Continuously reviewing of methods to improve productivity and quality is expected
- Working in compliance with health and safety regulations.
Experience requested:
- Previous experience in setting/ operating manual or CNC Mills and Turners
- Able to read and understand engineering drawings
- Experience using Colchester, XYZ Proturn or XYZ ProtoTRAK machines is an advantage.
